Twilight Movie Alice Pitching! The a very important factor I love about moving into Los Angeles may be the number of revival houses and single screen concert halls you can still head to. I'm not talking about your multiplexes which can be playing the newest Hollywood blockbusters, I'm discussing those historic cinemas that play in the classic movies we loved watching when we were growing up. Many of these films we first watched in the media or rented them on VHS from the local video stores (back when they existed), but we never have got to see them on the big screen where they belonged. But due to places like New Beverly Cinema, the Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese among other movie theatres, we finally get to see them the way they were intended to be seen.
Now I know a lot of people who nowadays would prefer to curl up for the sofa and observe movies in your own home, but these cult movies need to be seen about the big screen in case you are ever in Los Angeles.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This musical comedy horror cult classic which stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick along with the great Tim Curry as being a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania" could be the longest-running midnight movie of all time. Thirty-eight years after "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" became available, it is playing in limited release and midnight screenings keep taking place all over America. However, have not lived til you have seen this movie in the Nuart Theatre in Santa Monica where audience members can dress up as their cartoon characters and talk back to the screen in such a way they couldn't if this type of were any other movie. Fans on the Nuart buy treated to some live performance from Sins O' The Flesh, several actors that perform along with the movie every Saturday night. You can always depend on having a most fantastic time when you watch this movie in the Nuart!
"The Room"
The 2003 romantic drama that has been written, produced, directed and stars Tommy "YOU'RE TEARING ME APART LISA!"
